- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
@ beshanoe: Please as tanais.fox for the files as I don't have final version, sorry.
@Shvan: don't know how much is shipping from US! -

- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
@bibo - 4.95 in US flat rate, also I think you mentioned you use 5mm LED on your boards, is this true and how well do they work with the Sparkfun Pads? -
- CommentAuthorbibo
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
Ok, and the price of 2 boards will be 30€.
Yes, I used 5mm 1,4 cd red leds and they work good. Anyway 3mm maybe would work better as they're smaller and can diffuse better light. -
- CommentAuthorSHvanBommel
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
hmm... now my question is, where does this resistor go for regulating The LED's. ? -
- CommentAuthorbibo
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
The resistor is the only one in the logc board/shield -
- CommentAuthorSHvanBommel
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
hahaha, ok :) i wonder.. is it ok to have used the hole next to the diodes as a mounting hole instead of surface mounting both sides? -
- CommentAuthorbibo
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
Which hole?!? I can only see one micro hole...you'll better follow visual instuciotns on the old groupbuy discussion. -

yeah... about that micro hole next to the diode... i used that... :) -
- CommentAuthorbibo
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
Yep it works...but the other pin? -
- CommentAuthorSHvanBommel
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
surface mounted, i will post pictures once i'm done, the only thing i see is the when i flush cut on the button side there is a littl e bit left, not a big deal IMO. -
- CommentAuthorbibo
- CommentTimeAug 5th 2009
Yep, that's why i've made only surface mounting possible. But it works anyway. -

I'd be grateful if you (or anyone else who has a had a successful build) could give some definitive advice on connecting the Button PCB to the Unsped Shield.
The Shield connectors are clearly marked "In" and "Out" and the pin holes of each connector are numbered "1" and "16"
I'm looking at the back of the Button PCB (i.e. the side with the signal diodes) with the connectors orientated to "6 o'clock" and "9 o'clock".
1) Am I correct in thinking that the "Out" connector on the Shield goes to the Button connector at the "6 o'clock" position and the "In" connector goes to the Button connector at the "9 o'clock" position?
2) One of the holes on each of the Button PCB connectors has a square solder pad. Does this correspond to "1" or "16" on the Shield? (I am assuming that it is the same for each connector but please tell me if I'm wrong)
Thanks in advance -

Very quickly:
1) In is at 6 o clock.
2) Square solder is pin 1 -

Hey Bibo
I'm keen on a couple of keypad PCB's, I'm also in new zealand so maybe me and pooks could share shipping.
I've added myself to the spreadsheet.
Are there any left from the last run or will you be doing another soon?
Please let me know.
Nice work on getting this project together.
