so, my arduinome has two arduinos. one is for the arduinome itself and the other is connected to six potentiometers for midi control.
my problem is that arduinome serial recognises the second arduino as well and stops me from accessing the serial port in pure data.
i've tried renaming the second arduino so that it has a different prefix but that didn't help. is there any way around this? what are the other routing options? -

eek. sounds nasty!
you could try monomecereal: http://docs.monome.org/doku.php?id=app:monomecereal -

gave it a bash but no luck. maybe there's a way to hack arduinomeserial so that it only recognises certain devices... what a learning curve! -

could you grab a screenshot of the device drop down in arduinome serial? -

sure thing. this is it with prefix disabled for the second arduino. still recognised by arduinome serial. -

dude, i had the same issue when i was making my custom box.. thats why i ended up using a logic board and an arduino in the same box..
i've had issues using two simultaneous arduinos.. -

Haven't had the chance to try and hack arduinome serial (thanks for mailing me with info guys) but Ive managed to get both running with the dev version of serialpyio! -
