So... Since I've burned one of my starfire AIO board, I replaced it with an arduino+unsped in my 256.... It works, but ... hmmmm .... (<< in-satisfaction)
But, reading bartaug's post (found here : http://post.monome.org/comments.php?DiscussionID=6145&page=3#Item_12 ) made me want to try his hack with a starfire board as first shield, and an unsped one as second
I managed to follow instructions (from custardweasel's post) and get something that barely displays the boot pattern on both button pads, so i really think it is doable
Has anyone managed to do the original bartaug hack on the 128 using regular unsped shields?
Has anyone dared attempt this mix before ?
One note about the original hack, if i understand correctly, bartaug's original hack was adapted to the unsped shields at some point in the thread.. He also mentions possible need to adapt the firmware pins to reflect unsped pin-outs... But, on sourceforge, the hex you find as firmware isn't implied to work with the unsped shields... Or not..
Second, based on custardweasel's reply and blog article ( http://herringson.com/?page_id=241 ), the pin-outs is quite different from the one bartaug suggests.... So which is right ? ;)
Hopping this thread will give ideas to the most adventurous amongst us and open new doors to 128's building :p -
